Weekly meetings are planned and run by the Scouts in accord with outlines selected by their Patrol Leaders Council (PLC) every week.
As a unit, the Troop camps one weekend each month, with the exception of December and February. The camping locations and the focus of activities during the outings are determined by the PLC. In addition to these campouts, the troop has an annual ski trip to Kansas City. The troop has two fund raisers, one in February and one in June. First Class scouts over the age of 14 often plan physically challenging venture trips. Additionally, the Troop spends a week at summer camp and spends a week in July on an out of state trip. With enough interested boys in the year, the troop sponsors a crew to Philmont Scout Reservation.
The Troop has three vibrant patrols: the Ninja Monkeys, the Boy Scouts and the Panthers. Each patrol buys its own food, cooks together, camps together, and shares responsibility for running a portion of the Troop meetings.
